The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Actor for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to change into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the initial comic and anime.
Escola is joined by a number of recently announced actors set to bring the organization to reality, such as head the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Although this character is a major member of Baroque Works, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a significant shift in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
