Performer Refutes Anti-Vaccine Stance Following Lending His Voice To Controversial Pandemic Film
The acclaimed actor has provided his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that challenges the safety of vaccines and praises former government figure the political figure.
The Documentary's Contentious Foundation
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book written by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for claims that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.
The publication's writing partner, a producer, has also written books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. He took to social media celebrating Neeson's participation in the documentary.
A Strong Rebuttal
A spokesperson for the actor have provided a statement pushing back against suggestions that he subscribes to anti-immunization beliefs.
"Many acknowledge that misconduct can exist within the drug industry, but that should never be confused with being against vaccines," the response explains. "Liam has never been, and remains not, anti-vax. His extensive work with the global charity reinforces his enduring support for public-health initiatives."
It continued that the actor did not shape the project's narrative and that questions about its assertions ought to go to the filmmakers.
Major Assertions In the Film
As presented, the narration provided by Neeson includes several controversial statements:
- It states that pro-vaccine voices have called for "complete compliance" to government bodies.
- It argues that "medical science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
- RFK Jr is interviewed claiming, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
- It also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused psychological harm that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
- Concerning Covid vaccines, it references a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Past Context and Ongoing Debates
The film also references a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the network for unbalanced reporting.
Last month, RFK Jr directed the national health agency to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, despite a recent study from the WHO stating no connection has been found.
A Past Record of Support
Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has previously shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a charity ambassador.
In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."
The documentary finishes with Neeson's narration saying, "This is not the conclusion of our story. It is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
